As many of you may know, we searched high and low for a place we could go to tie the knot in England, but we just couldn't find that place that made our hearts race. So, we went back to the drawing board and decided to cast the wedding web a little wider.  With our love of travel and weekends away, we thought we'd investigate a viable venue abroad.    

 

We didn't want much, just somewhere secluded, with a sprinkling of sunshine, a beautiful view, maybe a swimming pool or two, and a place where our nearest and dearest could dance until dawn, and then sleep (or pass out) afterwards. We hope you'll agree, not much to ask and all fairly achievable!

 

Surprisingly, our search took a little time.  Finally, after electronically looking at the South of France, then unsuccessfully searching in Sicily, we took to a beautiful old villa in the Tuscan hills.  Villa Catureglio, nestled above the valley village of Borgo a Mozzano, looked like everything we had dreamed of and ticked the best part of all of our boxes.  But, wary that photos online can make a clapped out old banger look like a gleaming beamer, we calmed ourselves down and tried not to get too carried away.  However, when we passed through Pisa to pay the place a visit back in June, it surpassed all of our expectations and we just knew that no other venue would do. 

 

So, its back to the country of the scene of the crime... ...this time in summertime ;) We will be spending four days from the 6th to the 10th of August 2015 at Villa Catureglio in Tuscany, with the wedding ceremony taking place on Saturday 8th August 2015.

 

We appreciate it's quite a way to travel, but we would be so so honoured and thrilled if you could join us to celebrate our very special day.  If you have never been to Italy before or even if you are a seasoned traveller, we would recommend you take a few extra days to immerse yourself in this beautiful country and make the most of the food, culture, sights and stunning scenery it has to offer.  If like us you could think of nothing better, we have put together what we hope will be some helpful info for you to plan your travels to Tuscany.
